Fiori diversi al naturale is a site-specific installation composed of paintings on paper, pictorial interventions on an environmental scale, sculptural elements, and live plants.
The project, a testament to the Fondazione Ermanno Casoli's collaborative spirit, was produced on the occasion of the XXII edition of the Ermanno Casoli Prize, curated by Marcello Smarrelli. It involved the creative contributions and work of all the approximately 100 employees of the Airforce plant in Cerreto d'Esi (AN).
The project transformed a large portion of the plant, hitherto used only as a transit area, into a place to gather and relax.
We implemented the project through a series of workshops, introduced by a lecture by Domitilla Dardi on the history of herbaria. Each participant then painted a flower on handmade paper, creating a herbarium conceived as a collective portrait of the company's population. Like a frieze, the herbarium runs along the office's walls, housing a large wall painting created by working groups composed of employees.
Sculptural elements complement the installation—the planters with their seats and living plants—designed with the support of STARTT studio.
